Doctors Minimizing Pain
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone of my endo sisters ever wanted to pull out your hair because your OB/GYN minimized your pain, and they were female as well.....Feeeling really down and depressed, I just want someone to realize that Endo is painful, and sometimes hormonal therapy does not work.........

Nancys Nook on facebook is a godsend as they have files all relating to endometriosis and lists of specialists in or near to your area.... it sucks when gyne or others dont understand the pain and frustrations of having endo. it take its toll at times..... for me its caused alot of depression just from being not understood, ive had some female doctors who were lovely and some where ive literally told them to ''do one'' as theyve been rude and not sympathetic, sending hugs and hope you find a doctor who cares x

I agree With Sammy Jo!!! Some female Dr's can be very unkind. But most people don't relate to most things unless it affects them.

I sometimes think female doctors can be less sympathetic. I've met some real twats in my time.
Is it worth trying to see an Endo Specalist instead of an OBGYN? Maybe they just dont fully understand the extent that Endo can cause?
