It sure can, in fact it is what lead to my diagnosis...for years I suffered with sharp stabbing pains similar to what is described, going to different doctors ruling out all other possibilities. From what my doctor described Endo can end up in places that even doctors cannot get to or see generally during surgery, and even after surgery scar tissue from these ares can also hit nerve endings which also add to the misery. It is best to talk to your doctor and discuss a treatment that is right for your that can help ease some of the discomfort. For me it was Lupron, the side effects suck but once i got through them the pain has been no-existent for almost a year now.

I've had scar tissue form after every surgery I've had so far. Mine seems to like to "loop" around my ovaries in places as well. I honestly didn't mind when I was on Lupron personally.

haha thanks, actually got it from everyone asking if I'm okay, and i just keep saying "yes I'm just pain drained" and it kind of stuck...but yea for the most part it has helped tremendously with the pain, and I hope you find relief too. Brighter days ahead :)

Thx so much mspaindrained - love your moniker btw. Good to know something positive about lupron. I hear what the other women say when they warn against Lupron but when you cant see a endo specialist right away and there is a minimum 3 to 5 month wait for a consultation, and another wait period for surgery, what else can debiltated pelvic pain sufferers do? I think scar tissue is making my pelvic pain worse than it was before surgery! Since it was just a regular obgyn surgeon im concerned my more subtle endo implants ( not easily seen) have fired up somehow cause im in sheer agony.

I had quite a few of the symptoms that the website and other things warn about, but my gynecologist had me on "add-back" therapy as well. It lessened the side effects. I'm now about to try the latest Orilissa with similar side effects! The side effects aren't nearly as bad as what others seemed to make them out as - at least with me personally.
