I was wondering what you all use for your periods. I use mostly pads but my bleeding is so heavy I have to change it every few hours. Tampons make my cramps worse so I try to avoid them. I have heard about the new product called Flex, there is also the menstrual cup. What have you found that works best for extreme heavy bleeding?
I love my thinx. I have two pairs that I rotate out every day. Boy short style are my favorite. Honestly, I do have leakage on my heaviest days and I'll use a cup, but not the diva cup. I bought one and it was so fricking painful I pulled it out within an hour. I switched to this generic cup thats super soft silicone and its a lot better. The combination of the two on my heavy days and just thinx on lighter days makes pain slightly more manageable.
Has anyone tried the fabric/reusable pads or those thinx period proof underwear? I like the idea behind them but my flow is SOOOO heavy I'm scared to trust them haha
Have you tried the Always Infinity with this Flex Foam? Those have really helped me, because likewise - I can't use tampons. They're terribly painful. Between these, changing them every 30-45 minutes or so, and occasionally sprinting to the bathroom, that's my routine.
It's not the best plan, but Always makes a good product. And now that they removed that offensive slogan "Have a Happy Period," I'm able to use their product again. Remember that horrible lil' campaign? I felt like they were mocking me! I may have even thrown something at the TV...
I had an ectopic pregnancy 4 years ago and had to go through open surgery to remove it and adhesions. What was supposed to be a 2 hour surgery became 6 hours. But since then I have a posterior cervix so tampons donโt really work for me! I seem to leak around them and cups are useless for me! I have to use pads and change them every couple of hours! It always makes me feel gross, but I have to work with what I have got and works!
Haven't had a period in years. But I have heard good things about the cup. But it still needs to be emptied. I would suggest a combination of pads and cup.
Tampons never agreed with me.they use to just hurt. So i don't think the cup would help me. Feel like it would still hurt. I use to get the thick pads and change them everytime i went to the loo. Only way to survive.
Whereas now I don't have periods at all and my life is so much simpler ๐ i wouldn't know what to do with a period anymore x ๐๐๏ธ
