Hi endo warriors

Is anyone using or has used the drug Visanne before? How are you coping with the side effects? Mine are so severe especially the bloating, weight gain, constipation, dry eyes and fatigue?

How have you overcome the side effects?

I was on Visanne for ten months. I still had regular (painful) periods, and it really affected my mood. I also gained 10kg (way more than 10% of my body weight) while maintaining the same diet and exercise. I couldn’t wait to stop taking it. My mood improved shortly after I stopped taking it, and I lost 4kg in the first two weeks (water weight??). My specialist doctor is insisting that I need to take it, but I really never want to take it again ... so I’m looking for a new way forward.

I’ve been on Visanne for approx 2.5 months now for adenomyosis. How long have you been taking it? The first month was hell, but I feel as though the mood swings, fatigue and bloating are leveling off. I’ve also cut out gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol and red meat. So I’m not sure if that’s helping. I will say that despite these dietary changes and exercise, I am not losing any weight at all. I am spotting on and off and have also experienced mild cramping. I’m looking forward to getting off the drug too.

The bloating is unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been on it for just about three weeks. I hope the bloating goes away, its worse than endo bloating!

Ps—- are your eyes really red? Mine have been for the past few weeks and everyone is asking me if I have pink eye.... never thought it could be the pills until you mentioned dry eyes!

im in a research trial, but you have to have had some type of endo surgery to qualify. The treatment is free as well as all exams and they even reimburse me for my time and travel... i feel much better.
