Switch From Nuvaring To Sprintec?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all are having a good day (or as best as you can). I have stage III endo and recently, I've been dealing with severe bloating and extreme tiredness. I took a food sensitivity test and of course, I'm sensitive to literally every food in the world. I reached out to my doctor several times and her response was dicyclomine which has helped a tad but now she wants to switch me from my 10+ years of being on Nuvaring to Sprintec as that is supposed to help abdominal symptoms… read more

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that. I've been there, but for different reasons. I had a blood clot to my lungs from Nuvaring, so I never did anything else with estrogen. Mirena and Micronor didn't help me much, so I just gave up on hormones all together. I had adenomyosis and my hysterectomy took care of that type of pain.

I've been following Jessica Murnane, who has endo herself and has synthesized what she's learned about herself and her food intolerances, etc. She has a podcast and she covers lots of interesting topics. I listened to the one on Perimenopause and apparently that same Naturopath did an episode on birth control, which is on my 'to listen to' list.

There's tons of books out there; I think I have a post of them in my favorites tab but if you want I can pull out the Good Reads links.
