It, along with every other birth control pill I have taken showed side effects within 2-3 days. Those were: migraine headaches, swelling in hands and feet, weight gain(pounds per week), chest pains, dizziness, worsened acne, and more bleeding. The only thing that didnt cause too many side effects has been the depo shot but extended use of that can cause bone density.

Oh my gosh! That's terrible!! I'm having flashes and mood swings from Hades! I've noticed I want to eat just to eat so I've had to be especially aware and figure out what to do instead. Luckily I didn't ever have a bleeding situation other than my period which left remarkably soon, one month of taking Amethyst/Lybrel-- no estrogen. That was taken for only 1 month, up until the very night before my endo specialist appt that started me on Aygestin. I did want menopause early because I have other stuff going on that my period exacerbates and I got it when I was 10 (sister, mom, and g-ma were 11yrs). Mom and grammom are asymptomatic and went into it naturally around 57yrs so I wasn't ever concerned; but I still preferred dealing with this mess for a while over the whole period shebang.

I had to look it up because they gave me the brand name Micronor! I think you saw my answer on the other thread, but I didn’t find it terribly useful but I also I did not seem to have any side effects. They tried it to see if it helped my heavy bleeding or pain from adeno but it did not help either. I couldn’t take estrogen because I got a blood clot to my lung after using Nuvaring.
