Hey, is there anyone who has greater pain and problems during ovulation? During my actual period I only get stabbing pains here and there but over a week during ovulation I get a lot of pressure and pain in my pelvis. My pelvis feels bruised, it's even tender to sit down. I also get what I can only describe as a pain attack it nearly always happens in the evening. It lasts a few hours. It comes on gradually and is very sharp. I feel it in my rectum, vagina, uterus, ovaries and what feels like my… read more
I never used to have an issue around ovulation but since I started IVF meds in January 2019 I noticed pain around ovulation and for about a week afterwards, always on the left side. I've since had an MRI and been diagnosed with haematosalpinx (blood being released from my endometrioma to my fallopian tube which is collecting the said blood). I used to find the Merina coil useful when I wasn't trying for a baby so I asked for progesterone only pill while I await surgery to clip my fallopian tube in the hope of reducing any further damage - the pain has changed from being one week a month to pretty much every day. I do however get confused with all the different pains and I suspect my pain now is structural from all the parts of my system being stuck together rather than being able to freely move as I move around.
I just had two ovarian cysts removed after my hysterectomy because there were remnants of the ovaries left. Anyway, after having many images before my surgery on Thursday, we could see and the doctors confirmed, that the cysts grew and shrunk inline with the ovulation cycle. The larger one went from 4 cm to 1 cm and then back up again. I am wondering if that could be why? My larger cysts was also wrapped around a nerve cluster and it caused all the pains you are describing. I also had horrible pain with any bowel activity during my periods before my hysterectomy. It would cause me to be paralyzed by the pain until it passed. Please be emphatic that they do all the testing, there is so much that can be done, and often until we demand something be done, nothing is.
I haven’t been official diagnosed with endometriosis. My dr is pretty certain I do have it based on symptoms but I haven’t had a laparoscopy yet. But I get the exact same thing. As well as horrible stabbing/knife like pain up my rectum. The stabbing rectum pain last in and off for 2-3 hours then is gone. My dr thinks it could be the levator ani muscle spasming. My periods aren’t great but bearable but ovulation is far worse for me. Even on birth control I get the crampy/swollen tender feeling just not as bad.
I get this as well. Periods aren’t so bad but during ovulation I feel intense rectal pressure and pain. It feels like I have to take a large dump but there isn’t anything to poop out. It’s very uncomfortable. It’s also painful to have sex during this time as well. Just recently I started getting intense lower back pain on my right side.
Yes I understand what you saying and feel what you feel Lord Thank You Not By myself or Crazy.
