I started birth control for the first time and the amount of pain I was in was so bad and my symptoms were so strange. I couldn't take it so I got off. I felt like I was crazy as I was convinced it was from the birth control and now I am so scared to try another birth control. Am I the only one?

I have fibromyalgia and my endometriosis makes it sooo much worse, I barely can move on my period days, I have just started depot Lupron and it just made me stop bleeding but nothing els it exasperated my other symptoms so I feel ya!

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member You are not alone. I had the same experience. I took BCP continuously but i still got my period with bad cramping that lasted for over two weeks .I stopped taking it after the first month .Am just on supplements for now

The nausea more than the pain. I dont trust them after depo made me faint and pass out a bunch. There are different types though so your doc is lazy for not being willing to listen or try another type. I am trying to be a good sport and try the generic for yas/yasmin. But the nausea makes it hard to eat. What kind are you taking?

Definitely me! I had a gyno tell me one time in disbelief, "Well, that shouldn't happen." Correct, and yet here we are 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Yes! I started the IUD and it’s made my cramping worse! However, I have had less UTI symptoms. I’ve tried 4 other birth controls before and the one that worked the best so far was the Nuvaring, but the hormone in it is estrogen. So I can’t use it anymore. You’re definitely not alone though the IUD pain is intense!
