Aygestin Causing Bleeding After Intercourse
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

It’s been 4 months since my laparoscopy. My doctor put me on Aygestin (norethindrone). I’ve started to notice that bleed every time after sex. I assure you we are not being aggressive at all and have used plenty of lubrication. My boyfriend and I have been taking is very VERY easy and yet I still bleed afterwards. Is this a common side effect? I do have a GYN appointment coming up so I will be bringing this to her attention.

I've been on many med treatments and no matter what I've been on I bleed after sex. I think it's the endo, not the meds as others are saying. Unfortunately I think that's one of the endo symptoms.

I bleed after sex too. I think it’s just Endo, but if youre concerned, dont hesitate to bring it up to your doctor

Endo can cause bleeding with sex, it might not be the medication.
