Has anyone had an On-Q pain pump installed in their abdomen at the end of surgery? It delivers a local anesthetic in steady doses over the course of 4 days:

Hi, the usually stitch the pump around the outside do the pump stays in place. They are starting to give these non opioid pumps out as people are becoming tolerance to morphine after a few days, or becoming addicted to it. You won't feel pain some of the pumps you can turn up so gives you more anesthesia, thats if its not a set one, an gives you so much mil of anesthesia. I've had something like it. An it didn't hurt when they were taking stitches out . Some people say it hurts some don't. Depends on your own pain tolerance. Good luck with your surgery Tanya
I had something similar for a knee surgery, it was strong having a tube in my leg but it helped so much. and it didn't hurt to take out. im sure its much different in the abdomen but any pain medication it worth the try in my opinion
