I would suggest pelvic floor therapy if you’re able to do so. I’ve been doing it for a month and have had so much improvement in that month. I’m definitely not pain free but it’s helped me immensely in this department.

Yes I do. About four years ago I had a surgery go wrong, my bowel was perforated and I ended up with a temporary colostomy bag and then an ileostomy. It was meant to have been only a laparoscopy but over a period of about a year and a half/two years I was cut twice from the bottom of my sternum to my pubic bone for operations that were meant to clean up the mess they made.
Of course since then, all my symptoms have come back. Pain is almost constant and sex is usually painful.
I try with my partner (who is male and very supportive) to be sexual in other ways that don’t revolve around penetration
Most of the time I couldn’t think of anything worse than being sexual in any way....but am really hoping the hysterectomy that I have coming up after this will help me in this area. I used to be a very sexual person and miss it (as I am sure my partner does) hugely
