Does anyone get such a bad pain that they end up in the hospital because they can’t stop being in pain and throw up? I have been told I have endometriosis but I have had multiple surgeries and they have me on Lupron and I still get such bad pain that I end up in the hospital for a week? I feel like I’m alone because no one I know feels like this or has endometriosis.
Yes, numerous times.
I am so sorry. That sounds awful, and definitely like endo. If you haven't tried pelvic floor PT, I would give it a go. I had a lot of weird pains, even after my surgery and my PT was able to manually break up a lot of scar tissue and adhesions. It helped. I hope you find something that helps you too.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member my pain is in my lower right side and it is the worse I usually get really bad pain after a bowel movement and then I’m in pain for days I have to go to the hospital and the only pain meds that help me is dilaudid which sucks because I don’t want to become addicted
Also, I'm not sure where all of your pain is, but you might look into whether there might be something more than endo going on for you. After my endo diagnosis I also learned I have RA. Getting my RA under control has really helped with my endo pain too. I have a hard time believing they are not somehow related, but science hasn't figured that out yet. Whatever the explanation, I am grateful to have found some relief. I hope for relief for you as well.
Yes! My pain is less bad now, but I can never forget those days. And the Lupron was hell. I was on Lupron for 9 months post-surgery and it was rough to say the least. It thinned out the lining of my uterus so much that I had NO lining, and I just had a big, bleeding, open wound in there. It is not for sissies. You are strong and you will get through this. And you are not alone. Hang in there. There will be better days ahead.
