I know in the past when I had a c section I got really bad sick and lightheaded and so I am wondering if I have the same reaction should I request to stay overnight after my laparoscopy surgery?

They denied my request when I asked. I ended up back in the ER because of it. I would advocate for yourself though. I think it depends on your insurance, doctor and the hospital.

If you know what drug combo they used for your c-section - be sure to let the anesthesiologist know. Usually they use propofol for laparoscopy. Sometimes they intubate and use paralytics with the propofol. Might not be the same as what you had for your c-section. ❤

Wow so it is possible they can deny your request, what was your reason for asking? What happened that you ended up back in the er? If you dont mind me asking? I pray you are ok now!!

You can ask. And speak up in recovery. I stayed overnight with both of my laps. I lose my ability to pee after having anesthesia. They have always told me that they can't keep me overnight for that (and threaten to send me home with a catheter) but ended up admitting me anyways.

That is true since I was awake when I had my csection so with this they are doing general anesthesia so more likely they will put me to sleep and intubate with this
