Does Anyone Else Deal With Skin Issues That May Be Related?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've been dealing with this itchy skin condition on my hands (both palms and backs) since November (ish)
It starts out as these incredibly itchy, tiny, skin coloured bumps that do or don't get red but fill with fluid, sometimes that's where it stays, but if it's scratched at all the bumps weep and then it spreads more. Other times it flares out and the skin becomes red and inflamed and looks like an eczema flare (which is what I was told in 2020 that it was the only other time I ever dealt with… read more

I didnt go through something so drastic. I'm sorry this is your situation. I did have a skin rash that appeared on my left leg. It started as red purplish spots and then just started to travel up my leg. Shortly after that.. the same spots appeared on my right leg. That was a few years back. I posted on here asking women if they had similar experiences. I forgot if I received responses. Maybe you can go back to my old posts and see. I went to a dermatologist who said it was lichen planus which is an inflammatory issue/disease. He told me that I got it because I was black. I got a second opinion. The second opinion said it was the same thing. Nothing really helped it go away. It scarred me. Both dermatologists said it would go away on it's own in about a year or two and it did just that! I do attribute it that to Endo and the weakened immune system. I wish more doctors knew about all that can happen as a result of having Endo as an autoimmune disease. I pray and hope your skin situation gets better. I understand what you are going through. Mine was in such visible places, I started to feel self conscious about my body and about what people would think. It was a hard time. I was on Depo at the time for the Endo. I wonder what part Depo played in it. Sending you love, sis. Hope you get answers.
Oh, mines didn't itch, btw.
