Has Anyone Still Had The Same Pain After The Laparoscopy They Did Before?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm not talking about recovery pain from the surgery. I mean has anyone still had the same awful pain they were having prior to surgery after? I'm 3 months out from my surgery and I'm getting the same stabbing pain I had before. I guess I was under the impression that if I had surgery it would talk care of the pain for a little while. And I guess 3 months is a "little while" but I was hoping it would be for a lot longer.

Wow! I will have to try those. I do go to a sauna at my local gym, but I haven’t been to an infrared sauna. I will be looking these things up for sure ❤️ Thanks TabithaH07

Thank you all for responding. I went in yesterday and they found 2 more endometriomas on my right ovary again. Now I'm not sure if they were miss when the surgeon was in there or if they have both formed after, they are 3cm each. We are trying to do IVF and now they can't get eggs from that side because of it. And I thought having the surgery before starting the process would help so we would start with a clean slate. Guess not. I'm definitely going to look into your suggestions. Thank you all. Hope you feel well ❤️‍🩹

Yes! It’s very common. Especially if they do an ablation instead of an excision approach. After my second failed surgery I started looking into treating root causes, like estrogen dominance. I’ve been working with a functional medicine doctor for four months and it’s changed my life! They prescribe low dose naltrexone for inflammation, Dim Detox to bind and excrete the excess estrogen, and I do infrared sauna twice a week. Before I couldn’t get out of bed and had no quality of life. This treatment protocol has been a game changer!

Yes. Turned out my crap surgeon missed a fibroma (fibroid on the ovary) and the endo came back in less than 4 months.

I know it took me a long time to heal, not until the 6 month mark that I felt better. Keeping in mind it was my first surgery and they only burnt some and not all. They didn’t extract them and remove mine. A lot of scar tissue was in there they removed that attached my organs together involving my uterus, ovaries, Fallopian tubes, and intestines. I had went in to get a cyst on my ovary removed when they discovered I had endo. I think they just didn’t have the time? I don’t know, but it took me a long time to recover. I guess it depends on if you felt better a week after surgery and then started having stabbing pains at the 3 month mark. But yes I still have the stabbing pain, it didn’t go away. But I do feel better in other ways.
