Members rallied around someone who woke suddenly with a racing heartbeat and fear, offering prayers and encouragement while the original poster shared that ER tests including an ECG came back normal and that they were waiting on bloodwork results. Several members suggested the episode might be a panic attack, with one member describing how panic attacks always pass and another sharing a technique called bearing down (holding your breath and applying pressure to the chest) that can help with rapid heartbeat episodes, though they noted their own situation was due to a genetic heart condition rather than panic. A recurring theme was the community's compassionate support through a frightening experience, with members staying connected as test results came in and offering both emotional comfort and practical suggestions.

Mine isn’t a panic attack, it’s a genetic heart thing (non-problematic) but it should work for anything like that, where your heart has an odd arrithmia

I havent tried this… but does it work? Ues this isnt endo related. That was more of a panic attack. How often do u get this kind?

Have you tried bearing down? Holding your breath and putting pressure on your chest and sternum, does that make sense? I get something like this but it is not endo related that I know of.
