Hello! I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo during my first lap at the end of March 2025 (happened to be with an endo specialist). He said he was able to excise it all. However, now (about 2 months post op) I have been starting to feel light cramping almost daily for the last week to two. Normally before the lap, I would only ever cramp during my period and during ovulation. I am wondering if anyone has experienced cramping more often after their excisions. Could it be still healing or is this… read more
Yes I had my surgery at the end of March and I feel worse after. I'm always bloated, I have constant back pain, and I'm tired all the time, I can barely function.
Thank you so much DS! It’s still so hard for me to advocate for myself sometimes. I really love your perspective on it. I will definitely start keeping a written record. Sending well wishes your way. ✨
Hi there! I experienced cramping and aching and pain about 3 months after both my surgeries. Endo is so difficult to clear entirely, that for me, it is assumed they missed a bit, and it just grew right back. That is my situation, it might not be yours. However, I am a firm believer in talking to doctors every single time you have a concerning issue. I go in all the time. I don't accept that I have to suffer, I've done enough. It is not healthy to be in pain. There could be something wrong even. Take care of yourself, log all your symptoms in a daily journal, and talk to your doctor all the time. Be well, take care of yourself.
I had my excision surgery the end of February. The surgeon said she got all 9 locations that the Endo was growing. Basically my whole pelvic cavity. I'd say the last couple weeks I have been having cramping more than before. I have an IUD so I don't get a period but the cramps feel the same as period cramps would. Also I have back pain and pain down my legs. I do have psoriatic arthritis and interstatial cystitis ( basically called bladder pain syndrome ) so it's hard to tell what condition is causing what pain. I'm thinking maybe healing still
Yes, I had a hysterectomy at the end of February 2024 and I have now started having cramps. I had Stage 4 Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. They took my uterus, fallopian tubes and my cervix but left my ovaries as they seemed healthy. They also did that to ensure I didn't have to go on HRT too early as I am 41 yrs old.
Feeling your pain, chin up sister ❤️
