I would encourage you to find a therapist. It has helped me greatly in navigating simple life changes, as well as, life altering diagnosis. Also finding support groups such as this one helps. A diagnosis is a hard pill to swallow but necessary first step to begin treatment and management. Be honest and transparent about your feelings with the doctor and do not hesitate to ask for resources that may be available at the clinic or hospital you visit.
