I went through Lupron, Danazol, every birth control you can name and more. I have had countless nerve blocks and all kinds of things done to help to no avail. I've had 3 laparoscopys, pain mapping, a pre sacral neurectomy and with no help from those my last ditch effort was a partial hysterectomy. I had it 2 years ago and it didn't help my pain at all! All it did is take away my chance at ever getting pregnant. I was told I would go through a mourning stage after the hysterectomy and man was my doctor right. To this day being around someone pregnant absolutely kills me. My best friend and cousin are both pregnant and being around them is really hard. Don't get me wrong I'm very happy for them but it's the fact I'll never get to experience what they are and thats what hurts especially because I chose to do this to myself. Right now for my Endo I don't take anything which is a huge reason why it's out of control. I need to get back on birth control to stop myself from ovulating. If I were you I would do a lot of research and get different opinions before doing it because if I could go back I would! Best of luck!

Hysterectomy has been proven to not being effective when dealing with endometriosis.

I have endometriosis as well as my mom. She has had two children, having children did not reduce or take away her pain, around 10 years after having children she got surgery where they removed the endometriosis tissue and adhesions. She said that having a good surgeon makes a difference on how fast the endometriosis grows back and the extent of how much it grows back. She said the surgery was completely worth it for how it took away all her pain and years later when the cramps started up again the pain was very minimal compared to how it was most of her life. Years later when she went into menopause she said all pain stopped completely.

She took hydrocodone for a few years before getting the surgery and she said it worked amazing, that's what I use for the pain now, for me personally before taking hydrocodone the pain would sometimes be so severe and would last for hours that I seriously wanted to die but then I tried 5mg of hydrocodone and it made the extreme pain become a dull ache. It's literally mind blowing how much of a difference hydrocodone made.

On pregnancy helping pain I think that depends on each person and where the baby is situated during the pregnancy because my mom's first pregnancy was extremely painful for the last 6 months up till the time she gave birth and that's saying something cuz she'd already been dealing with severe endometriosis pain for over 10 years. Her second pregnancy she said was a walk in the park, like how she didn't even initially realize her contractions had started cuz the pain didn't exceed the endometriosis pain she was used to dealing with.

I had resection/excision surgery for my endo (Stage 4- bowel, kidney, bladder & ovary) and life is completely different. Minimal pain (mostly now it is just about fixing my pelvic floor) when j am not menstruating and I had what I imagine is a "normal" period last month.

Utterly life changing. I just hope it lasts.

Im 30 and have had two laparoscopy surgeries, one five years ago when I was 25, and just one 4 months ago. I've been on lupron 2 times, the first time it worked great, now that I'm 30 and five years older, it didn't work at all this time.. And oh my heavens do my bones just ache! It feels like I have the flu 24/7. I'm thinking of getting a hysterectomy because of the continual pain I'm having, but I know its a 50/50 chance of working or not! Lortab doesnt take the pain away, my heating pad is my best friend, it goes everywhere I go! But really look into the lupron before getting it.

I take 600MG of Ibrouphen and Tramadol on the bad days. Be careful with Tramadol because it knocks me in my butt, so I cut my pills in 1/2 then it's a miracle worker.
