I have always been very curious to know the difference between endometriosis pain and pregnancy pain. After I heal from my surgery on Thursday I will be trying to get pregnant. I would like to know what to expect when it comes to labor pain. It may sound weird but I feel like once I go though labor I can more accurately describe my pain level to people. I can say that it feels like someone is stabbing my right ovary with a dull red hot icepick but I have never actually been stabbed so, I do not… read more

Members shared deeply personal comparisons between endometriosis pain and labor pain, with many describing their endo pain as equal to or worse than childbirth because it lacks an endpoint and comes without the relief of breaks between contractions or the reward of a baby at the end. Several members who gave birth naturally or without pain medication found labor manageable after years of severe endo, though experiences varied widely, with some finding labor surprisingly intense and others barely noticing early contractions due to their high pain tolerance from endo. A recurring theme was the emotional difference between the two pains, with labor pain carrying hope and purpose while endometriosis pain brings fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion without relief or resolution.

To be honest, I had my daughter naturally, unassisted and drug free and I can tell you, I would choose labour over endo pain ANYDAY!!

2 kids checking in. My first I pushed for 2 straight hours then had an emergency c-section. I've always said my endo pain was much worse than labor but no one believed me! Thank you everyone for justifying my feelings!

I would have a hundred babies to one month living with endo. When your in labor you know it will stop where as with endo pain you know when it subsides it will just be back..

Let’s just say labor was nothing compared to endo ( IMO)
