Hello all, I am new to this forum and I am at a huge stand still with my health and the doctors. So I have decided to start asking questions to those who know the most...the women who live with it everyday. I have been suffering with chronic fevers, abdominal pain, and bowel issues now for 3 years. Since then I've had my gallbladder removed and had laparoscopic surgery for stage 3 endo in 2014. A lot of the pain and the bad periods subsided thankfully. But the bowel issues and the fevers never… read more

Members validated the original poster's confusing experience with chronic fevers and bowel symptoms, with several sharing that they too deal with recurring low-grade fevers, extreme GI issues, and frustration over normal test results despite debilitating symptoms. Many members described bowel involvement from endometriosis, including deposits on the colon and bowels that caused severe diarrhea, vomiting, rectal bleeding, and food-triggered reactions, with some finding relief after excision surgery removed endo from the appendix or bowels. A recurring theme was the exhaustion of being dismissed by doctors who can't find answers, the importance of seeking specialists like infectious disease doctors or pursuing excision surgery with skilled surgeons, and the comfort of knowing you're not alone in navigating such isolating and misunderstood symptoms.

I started getting chills, sweats, and extreme pain almost two years ago. We can't figure out what triggers it except it seems to happen when my bowels are more full. I'm not sure if it's endo on my bowels.

When it first started I went to all types of specialists-rheumatologist-neurologist-endocrinologist-GI-and a doctor did extensive testing on bowel stuff. Everything came back normal.

I did get medicine that was anti-spasmodic for my bowels and that has helped some. I'm also on a pretty restrictive diet bc so much makes me hurt or causes more inflammation.

I have scheduled excision surgery this December and I will find out a lot more. If you are on facebook check out Nancy's Nook an educational facebook page-I've learned a ton!

I hope you can find some answers-I know how wearying it is to constantly be going to drs that say everything looks good.

@BobbiIgram I take Tylenol if they are higher than 99 but for the most part I do not do anything. Sadly, I just see it as my normal these days. I haven't noticed it being linked to any food in particular. Have you been directed to an infectious disease doctor? It sounds scary but when my doctor couldn't figure it out he referred me to one. She made the mono diagnosis. I haven't been back to her about the recurring fever bc of lack of insurance but it may be another Avenue to try. I also went to a gastrointestinal doctor who prescribed medicine to help with the diarrhea after he ran some tests to rule out IBS and other things.

I have chronic fevers that range from 99 to about 101 depending on the day. I underwent a ton of testing and at one point was diagnosed with mono ( which ended up being caused from the stress of my surgery - or so I was told) but my fevers are still happening a year later. My regular doctor thinks it is a product of the inflammation from the endo deposits that were not removed during surgery. I also had severe diarrhea everyday for atleast 2 years. It was believed to be from the endo deposits on my colon but after having my endometriosis invaded appendix taken out its relieved some of the diarrhea. I'm not sure how helpful this answer is. Have you tried the endo diet? I've read some good things about it. I have a problem with dairy and red meat which causes extreme bloating compared to my everyday bloating that seems to happen regardless of what I eat. I'm so sorry that you are having a tough time. I hope this helps a little
