I had a mirena put in recently in addition my endometriosis was removed during my 3rd laparoscopy. Since then my mood has been all over the place. I was just wondering if people had any suggestions about how to control mood swings? I constantly feeling overwhelmed and upset. I thought after having this surgery and having the endometriosis removed I would feel heaps better, but I honestly don't. I have to see my gynaecologist in a few week for a check up, should I discuss this with her?

After having the mirena I was the same. The surgeon assured me that the hormones stay in the womb (as I'm sensitive and they give me depression& anxiety) after having the mirena my mental health suffered terribly. Uncontrollable anxiety, overwhelmed, panick attacks and depression. I became seriously ill. I made the decision to see a nurse at my doctors and they removed it. Recently a study in the U.K. Showed that the coil releases (I think) 10 times more hormones into the body than the pill!! I'm still recovering. Talk to your doctors etc, you know your body and you can make decisions for yourself x

As a temporary coping mechanism I always found theanine with relora from Natural Souces did incredible things for hormonal anxiety. It's my go to. I would totally talk about everything that is concerning to you. I've never done well on birth control unfortunately.
