2nd period post op and still in pain ðŸ˜, was the surgery pointless or what 😠now I am getting nervous that the endometrioma will come back fast , I don’t want to have a hysterectomy young and I haven’t had a child yet , just sad today
I’m there with you. I just finished my second period post op and had some of the worst cramping, maybe even worse than before surgery. I read that it is to be expected but it does give you that hopeless feeling like the surgery didn’t do what it was supposed to. I also had some spotting and pelvic pain today and I’ve been off my period for a week. That concerns me because I also had a d&c with my lap and that should have lessened my bleeding. It’s nerve racking. But you’re not alone. Hoping for a turn around for you. I’d like to follow what your journey is like because it sounds like we are on a similar timeline.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I added you to my team :) , if its ok with you lets check in each month. Yes our journey's do sound much the same. I agree I had worst cramping after the surgery than I did before. With me , even my bleeding has gotten heavier. Also , sorry if this is TMI but I suffer with clots before that I thought was due to the endometriosis and I am still suffering with them. I drove to work last friday in tears, I was such an emotional wreck because I thought I would have at least a few months of relief. The research shows endo normally comes back , but I didnt think it should be able to come back that fast 2 periods post op. I have to wonder was endometriosis even the cause of my pain. Its supposed to have been excised , but yet im still in excruciating pain. Its disturbing to say the least after the crazy recovery , gas and shoulder pains. A few trips to the ER from intermittent pain , it seems not worth it. This has surely been a roller coaster ride. All my doctor wants to do is shove birth control down my throat and birth control doesnt agree with me.
