You keep your faith and never give up hope...I was told I would never be able to conceive a child due to the severity and despite taking 5yrs to conceive I now have a 3yr old boy...my endometriosis is inoperable and I will be trying again...to me doctors think they have say so but I say my GOD has that say and his will be done

Hey there , as I am reading your story the tears roll down my face this was me 2 months ago getting diagnosed with stage 4 endo , I had no idea that I would hear the news they told me , I had scarring on one of my fallopian tubes and the other is blocked , they removed all the endo they could . However, Ive had two periods post op and they were more horrible than before. Im 34 , getting married in 6 months and have no idea what my future fertility looks like. I was also told try for 6 months , then IVF. Great just great right. However, I believe in a living God and Im praying for a miracle as they do happen. I will add you to my prayer list. But I understand your rollercoaster of emotions as I cried in Church last Sunday remembering back to the surgery , the look on my fiance's face after surgery and my moms . I had no idea I had stage 4 endo , I knew i had it but not stage 4, my doc is trying to force me on birth control and I refuse as we want to start trying for a baby soon after we marry , this has been so tough . Hi Stacey. I feel your pain regarding the wealth of information (too much, just causing confusion), uncertainty and pregnancy announcements. I went to see a fertility specialist in August this year to start investigations into why we are not falling pregnant. Had a lap and it turns out I have (or had?) endometriosis stage 2 going into 3. The Doctor was and still is optimistic that I will be able to fall pregnant but we discovered that I have hostile cervical mucus as well. Due to my age (almost 38) and low ovarian reserve we can't afford to waste time trying to fix that as well so we are going straight into IVF. I'm on day 5 of injections and it's really not that bad! So far so good, no symptoms. That said, what I've learnt so far is that every case is unique. No matter what you do, don't go and read statistics online, it's a real demotivator! Also don't read too much into other women's horror stories about IVF or their endo and fertility experiences. Chances are you will receive different treatment and have a different experience.

Anyway, my message to you is to stay positive and just do what necessary to optimise your chances of having a family. It's difficult sometimes but don't give up hope. It helps to have a support structure of friends and family to encourage you through this difficult time. That is really helping right now. Good luck!

I am stage 4. I have had one child via ivf. As far as having a baby, i know some people that are stage 4 and had children naturally, and i know others like me that used ivf. So as far as pregnancy is considered drs cant give a 100% definite answer. I know that is probably not the answer you are looking for. If you are gonna do ivf then i would suggest to do it sooner than later. Or atleast have a consultation with a fertility dr so you can decide if it is something you are willing to put your body through.
