Hi guys ! I have been having a prostap injection for the last 3 months after a unsuccessful laparoscopy. It seems to be working a treat I still get pain but no periods and pain that’s manageable. The worry is I have been told its only licensed for 6 months . Due to it causing other health issues. But what happens then I can’t imagine going back to the being bed bound and the pain . Has any else had this treat and what happened after ?

I am on Zoladex, which is very very similar to Prostap. It is a sanity saviour, I know! I had 6 months treatment too, it is so long because there is no evidence if it works in the way that it is intended to work for endo if administered for longer than 6 months. It is a bummer after this, I went back the way it was before the injections. Not straight away though... my periods returned 6-7 weeks later
Everybody is so different, hopefully this will reset your body. But I cam tell you, the relief that you get whilst you on it is amazing and thats why I really dont mind any of the side effects

hello I am new on here my name is Renee and I found your statement interesting. I have been on Depo vera for about 2 years now. I have gained weight I am bloated constantly to the point where I look 8 months pregnant it's horrible I am pretty much on the thin side on my arms and legs the middle is off! when I get close to having to get my Depo shot my nipples get tender I get even more bloated. it's like my body is going through false pregnancy. I hate this endometriosis I hate it I feel like my life has completely stopped. It has complete control over me I have no desire for intimacy. I love my husband I literally have to force myself at times. I need my life back do you feel PROSTAP Sr, could help? I need some type of solution. I had a tubal back in 2011 so my child bearing days are over. I just need my life back!

PROSTAP SR is a synthetic hormone which can be used to reduce the levels of testosterone and estrogen circulating in the body. PROSTAP SR is used to treat prostate cancer in men and endometriosis and uterine fibroids in women.
