From what my GP has told me from my general ER follow up (i have a gyn follow up in a few weeks) its a wall that separates a portion of a cyst. From what ive read in the 90s and prior it meant an automatic hysterectomy because it was thought to be linked to ovarian cancer. Now its a case by case basis. For me i had a complex cyst already and a septation (wall) had created a daughter cyst out of it.

I never heard of septation? Can iasked what it is.

I remember I had retractile clots with my cyst like it ruptured and kept bleeding into itself

I saw my GP yesterday as a general followup. He said septation was a like a wall separating parts or offshoots of a cyst. But a gyn will take a more indepth look.

I remember when I was in Er with a ruptured bleeding cysts it said something about incomplete separations but they never explained that . What it meant. Also I’m not even sure if the er dr was skilled in endo and could differentiate by u sound it was a normal ruptured bleeding cyst or an endometrioma. I’m wondering what incomplete separations meant now...
