When you get a chance, I would recommend going back to see your provider to see if they can add another hormone to offset what your going through. IDK if it was the combination of the 2 drugs or just the added one that caused my weight gain, but I was able to come back down once I was off both. I didn't gain any during the first but I do remember my libido crashed and I was moody without reason. For reference, my gyn put me on Norethindrone this last time. It's basically a birth control pill.

The first time I had lupron it sucked for 6 months. The hot flashes were the worst part for me. The second time I got the injection, my gym prescribed me another hormone to take to avoid all the side effects of the injection. Unfortunately it caused a lot of weight gain. Needless to say, I was glad when both were completed. My first run was immediately following the surgery, the second was an attempt to avoid surgery. I went 10 years between the two and finished the second a few months ago.

Yes...most people have side effects on Lupron, I did. Worst for me was the hot flashes, I also had my hair turn from curly to straight (it is back normal now) but it did help my pain at the time. I suggest giving yourself the shots (if you are ok with doing int) you can control the amount better that way and not need to do a large dose once a month, I did mine daily. Have you heard of Letrozole/Femara? You can try that along with birth control treatment together. I hope that can give you some idea.

I am also on norethindrone as an addback but it doesn't seem to be helping.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member My pelvic and abdominal cramps have been absolutely horrible. My mood swings have been trough the roof, I keep going off on my boyfriend and the next minute I'll he crying over it.. I have hot flashes all day long. My hip/back and leg pain has doubled and I've noticed that I just really don't want to even be touched...This medication has taken quite a toll on me.
