I’m currently not taking any BC for my endo, but I’m deaparate to know what kind of diets have worked for you guys in relation to pain management and hormone fluctuation control. I do not eat meat as I’m terrified of the unknown hormones pumped into the animals. I found that the ketogenic diet helped me out a lot, but I’m still searching for more info. Any help is appreciated!

Hi Jessica! I used the NuvaRing for years before my diagnosis. When everything started to fall apart in October of 2016, that’s when I had to stop using it. It would not stay in after I had my first transvaginal ultrasound, which is when I started my endo and adeno journey. TMI....I can’t hve an IUD or wear a tampon now because nothing ‘fits’ if you know what I mean.

Yes I have taken NuvaRing before I received the diagnosis, orthotrycyclinlo, and Cerezette was my most recent one. The Cerezette was supposed to completely stop my period but I ended up bleeding for 28 days after taking it for 4 months. Not to mention I became suicidal because my pain was so intense. I have tried the Mirena, but my uterus flat out rejected it due to my adenomyosis. The doctor has said that all other birth control is off the table because I have a history of migraines and experienced a TIA (mini stroke) in 2013.
