So, for me... sex is too painful. Like it feels like my cervix contracts and gets shooting pains, and then to top it off after sex it feels like I'm bruised for days and I also bleed quite often after intercourse. This happens with every partner I've had. I can't even have sex with my current boyfriend cuz it hurts so bad but it's really hard to tell him that it hurts.. Is there anything I can do to help it hurt less? Why do I get these shooting pains? and why does it feel the inside of my… read more
Yes... when I have flare ups sex is always painful. It feels the same shooting pain. My fiancé has been very understanding and we try to work around my flare ups. Sometimes though I will feel fine and then the sex will cause a flare up. This is a bit personal, but for me being on my side has helped ease the pain.
Not sure if this would help enough but sometimes I pre-medicate with anti-inflammatories before hand... although yours sounds way more painful so I don't know if that is adequate
U can make anything work with the right partner!! 😉
YES. MY GOD, YES. It feels like my cervix is being stabbed, and the pain shoots into my abdomen and entire pelvis. Thankfully my partner is very understanding and I have been very explicit about which positions cause pain and when I am experiencing pain. We have gotten creative in our intimacy--sex does not require insertion and there are other ways for both of us to experience earth-shattering pleasure! Once we realized that the goal of sex was not always PIV, we were able to have discussions about how to make sex more enjoyable for the both of us. Focusing on clitoral & vulvar stimulation instead has changed our sex life. This insures that I am experiencing pleasure and avoids the severe pain that accompanies PIV intercourse. Talk it over with your partner--if they are worth it, they will be willing to get creative with you!
I get the same way but only after. The next day I am completely put out and can’t move. I’ll be completely fine the whole day and then having sex ruins it all. I have noticed though that some positions bother me more than others. I’ve been really honest with my partner and we will test out different ways and see what’s least painful. I can’t even use tampons when I’m on my period because my vagina hurts so bad! I’m sorry you are hurting but you are not alone! 💚
