I have has the marina coil for about 2/2.5 years (it was fitted during a lap to "stop my periods therefore stopping the endo) i had some troubles in the beginning but then once it settled i foubd it reLly worked well my periods stopped and my flare ups eased off dramatically to the point i hardly needed anything else. The coil cant really stop your Endo growing back sorry

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member thank you thats what i thought. The consultant said the coil would stop my periods which would in turn stop the growth of endo. I didnt completely believe it but ignorance waa bliss for a while xx
That's great! I've same experience I had the mirena coil fitted in 2010 it took a while to settle but has been brilliant for me, I'm on second one now. Wish it worked for everyone
This is an interesting question. I m considering the mirena coil as I just had a baby but I m still breastfeeding so I decided to wait a bit longer as my endo pain hasn't come back as yet.
