Excruciating Pain Two Months After Lap?! Help!
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I feel like I’m constantly in the “squeeze” part of a Kegel, what do I do?! If I “release” it hurts so bad! 😭😭😭 it used to not be like this until after my lap/d&c/ablation on 8/30/19. I went back to my surgeon after spending the weekend in the hospital on 9/29/19 and he was completely dismissive. Originally suggested that it was my body “adjusting to not being on opioids,” I called him on that bullshit because it had been a month since surgery and I had been prescribed a total of 26 Percocet in… read more

I wrote this to my new primary doctor on the patient portal about an hour ago or so:

“Hello Kristy,

I’m aware that you’re doing everything you can to help figure out what’s wrong. I did receive the follow-up call regarding the blood and urine testing. I officially have an appointment for imaging, but it’s not until the end of next week. I’m having a hard time dealing with these symptoms though. I think in last five days I’ve been able to sleep a total of about 12 hours, the pain causes issues with me even trying to urinate, much less the other, and it’s beginning to wear me down mentally on top of the physically. I use heating pads, have been taking baths, am going to the chiropractor and a massage therapist (for unrelated things, but my chiro said it may help). I’ve still been taking extra strength Tylenol 3x per days, and although I was advised to be cautious with NSAIDs due to my Lexapro, have been taking ibuprofen 3x per day. I have increased my water intake further and have been averaging about 10 refills of my 32 oz hydro flask daily, plus a few regular bottles of water per day. I had cut my caffeine back to 2 regular size cups in the morning and since Saturday, have not had anything containing caffeine. I wasn’t sure if I should schedule another follow-up, or if I’m just “stuck” feeling like this until after imaging? I’m so sorry to be a bother, I’m just at a loss as to what else to do to try to feel better. This is affecting every aspect of my life and I don’t know what else to do to get some relief. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thank you.”

The medical assistant called back, told me to keep doing what I’ve been doing and was able to move imaging up to Friday. Please pray they actually find something! It’s an abdominal ultrasound that I have to fast for. I kind of wish she included pelvic as well. I looked into what an abdominal ultrasound typically looks at, and it’s for all of my abdominal organs but they won’t be able to see my bowels/colon well if at all. I feel like with the pain feeling like it begins in my left pelvic region and radiates from there, that they would have also ordered imaging for that region along with my lower intestine/bowels? Maybe I’m not fully aware of what she’s ordered? I don’t know, I’m just at a loss at this point.

I have my dog lol! My mom has a lot going on so I’ve been trying to not add to her stress, and I’m basically alone in Oregon. Thank you 😭
