New here but sadly not to endometriosis. Obviously I live with the burden of this disease running my life and marriage so after a year of being told I need a hysterectomy I have scheduled it. The Dr is saying 6 weeks for healing. We are doing laparoscopic with the possibility of abdominal removal as I have Stage 4 and it is covering my bowels and possibly reached my bladder. Any of you who have had a hysterectomy please tell me how long did it take until you could move around at least for an… read more
I had a hysterectomy in June of 2022 and honestly I don’t recall the specifics of when exactly I was able to move around, but I do remember I used my mom’s walker the first month and then as I was… read more

Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead. Hello. Anyone menopausal and still having pain? My doctor is convinced that at 51 my endo pain will decline soon and took me off my Norethindrone daily maintenance and Mirena IUD. Crashed and had severe cramps for 3 days. Still having pain in my right side. Hoping the doctor is right, but after 30 years of dealing with pain (post a confirming laparascopy surgery in my 20s), I still feel dismissed and unheard. Thank you.
Thank you. I will look into a second opinion and research gynecological surgeons in my area (San Francisco). It's been a tough road to get a good recommendation.
Since my laproscopy and hysteroscopy my "normal" period pain has stopped. I had an iud placed and my periods have stopped (yay). I have noticed that i still get flare ups around what would be ovulation, and period time. I sometimes get spotting, those thos too is lessening. But these flare ups are sharp pain/cramps and bad back pain. They seem to come in waves. I am just wondering if these would be symptoms of adeno? I was diagnosed with endo
Adenomyosis is kinda of like an endometriosis of the uterine muscle wall itself. It causes an enlarged and boogy looking uterus bc the tissue weeps blood inside the muscle. I had no idea this was… read more

I have been dealing with endometriosis for 6 years now. I had two surgerys so far to get cysts removed. After my second surgery i was relieved from pain for only 2 months and then the pain came back with a vengence . I recently had an ultrasound and the doctor said i have adenomyosis. Agreed the best thing to do is get an hysterectomy. Im 26 its been a tough road for me. My question is what the difference is between them? Because the pain is absoutlely terrible!

I'm 17 years old right now and have been dealing with chronic pain(abdominal and migraines) since I was 12. It started with dually migraines and then went into daily nausea. I went to every odctot possible and they couldnt figure out what it was. I have been in the ER too often to count. It went over too extreme abdominal pain more in the upper area and then in the lower area also. I was checked for gallstones through ultrasound and blood tests.
