Norethindrone Treatment?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was recently given Norethindrone tablets for my endometriosis. I am experiencing stomach issues with it. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

Yes but I already had stomach problems before taking that medication and it made my stomach problems worse. It didn't help with endometriosis or help stop me from bleeding so the next step for me was having a hysterectomy and I had it almost 3 weeks ago and I feel so much better than I have ever felt in a long time. Coming to that decision in having a hysterectomy was the only thing that would help me because I was on every birth control pill, the depo shot and having the IUD in and I was still having pain, bleeding was insane. It took me a while to find a doctor that would agree to do that type of surgery because no other doctors would do it, I had to go 72 miles from home to have my surgery and it was worth it in the end. It was very painful after having it done but it was so worth it. But to answer ur question the medication u are taking will make you have stomach problems. I just thought I would give you some of the things I have been through to help you find other ways, but if the hysterectomy is not what you are thinking about doing it just a thought.

Eating a good, full meal before taking this med could help if you haven't already tried that. I haven't tried this med, but from my experience with other meds that cause stomach issues, it's always helped me to eat before taking the med. I hope this helps. God bless & keep you! 💛
