Okay that makes sense I guess I just have to wait then!
Thank you for taking your time to share your experience 😊 xx
Yes, proper period was delayed by about 6 weeks! I also discontinued my birth control so my symptoms may also be affected by that.
So far the pains have been as intense as pre surgery, but please keep in mind that I have adenomyosis as well so it is hopefully different for you if you do not have adeno as well. The great thing about the pain is that it is not constant as it previously was. Prior to surgery, I would have an 8/10 pain 1 week before period and then a 9/10 during my week of my period and it was CONSTANT. Now, it is 3-4 hours of 8/10 pain, then the next 6-7 hours the pain is a manageable 4/10, then back up to 8/10 for a few hours. So this cyclical pain is a big relief compared to before surgery.
Prior to surgery I would also be so nauseous and be vomiting so much that I would go 1-2 days during my period without eating, but I am able to eat at least 1, sometimes 2 meals a day during this period so it is better!
I know it is not a full 180, but I am celebrating these small changes and hoping for continued improvement :)
Wishing you all the best ❤️
Makes sense so a proper period was delayed by 6 weeks, am I right?
And how bad was the pains etc on the first period?
I was due for my period 2 weeks post op and just had some light spotting for a few days, so not a "real period." The following cycle my period came on day 29. I don't think it's abnormal per se to have an irregular cycle post surgery, but as always do ask your doctor.
