I have had 2 laparoscopic surgeries now and having my third in October, I always find I missing things when I pack for my hospital stay and for when I’m recovering. Just wondering if anyone has some tips on things to take with you to the hospital and or to have at home waiting for recovery.

After I had my laproscopic surgery, it was so difficult for me to sit up without support. So maybe having a good back pillow ready on your bed for when you come home, and a cane to help walk around the house for the next few days? Good luck on your surgery, sending you all of the good vibes and wishes.

Just had my third laparoscopy 3 weeks ago. This time around I have found a heating pad very helpful. Stay well hydrated when you get home, as you well know I’m sure, and be sure to have some laxatives on hand, just in case. Gas-X was also a huge relief. Maybe TMI, but the older we get the rougher the procedure gets on our bodies. Good luck and speedy recovery!
