First, your doctor is not a good one if they dismiss you because endo wasn't showing in scans. Endo usually doesn't show in MRI's or ultrasounds. It's too small to show up on scans. If your doctor doesn't know that, you need a new doctor. Unfortunately, not all specialists are good at their job. I'm pretty sure that my endo is all throughout most if not all of my organs and other places. My digestive system is so f*cked that eating causes severe pain all the way down the system. I likely need several different types of specialists, but it's hard to find one who actually knows what they're talking about. Most of the time, the only way to confirm where the endo is is surgery, which sucks, but that's really the only way to confirm where the endo is, and even then some surgeons will miss a few spots if they're not thorough enough.

I can relate with the gastro issue,saw a gastro specialist,did an endoscopy and they found h plyori and gave me antibiotics,was told people with endo usually have gastro issues being caused by the disease but mostly it being associated with bacteria,hope this helps.

Yes, a second or third opinion is always best to confirm what the issues are and how to solve them. I hope your pain settles with management considering it being a new year!

I was diagnosed with an MRI so that is not necessarily true. I do believe that MRI’s accuracy has many factors in play. The amount and location of the endometriosis. The skill of the technician and radiologist performing and reading the MRI. Yet, I will always encourage a second opinion if you are in doubt or have more questions than answers provided.
