I am at a loss of what else to do about the terrible vaginal pain I’ve been having. My doctor has no solutions for me and just wants to put me on a new birth control. This pain is debilitating and comes out of no where. I’ve been doing a ton of research and saw that Botox can help with pelvis floor dysfunction. Have any of the ladies ever tried it?
Thanks in advance!

A nerve block involves injecting a local anesthetic, sometimes combined with a steroid or other medication, near a specific nerve or group of nerves. This stops or reduces the transmission of pain signals to the brain. It works sometimes for a person up to a year or just depends. For me it only lasted about 4 months and then I would go back in for more. I was in severe pain to the point where it was affecting my daily life like hurtling over trying to walk. I was also consistently getting ovarian cyst so my doctor referred me to a nerve blockage specialist.
What were your symptoms like that made your doctor decide to refer you for that? Also, what exactly does it entail? I am trying to get as much info as I can before I go see a new specialist.
Thank you so much!
I have adeno too, so a lot of what you’ve written resonates with me. When I got the Botox done it was 2x doses of Botox (into various pelvic floor muscles, which ones I do not know) and a pudenal nerve block was done. If the vaginal stabbing pain is your main issue it’s worth trying. I was referred by my usual gynecologist to another who specializes in offering this. I was done under a general anesthesia too. I’m not sure where you are - I’m from the Melbourne Australia area so can share details if you’re in Aus?
I just had an appointment with my bladder specialist today and we are deciding to start trying Botox for my bladder pain and UTI like symptoms. I have been doing bladder installations for months now. They help by numbing my bladder to an extent. I did have injections in my pelvic floor while I was getting endometriosis surgery. It was supposed to relax those muscles but I'm starting to get that bad pain and cramping after sex again. I think maybe you should try to get a bladder specialist who knows different treatments to try. Also they told me to start the supplement pumpkin seeds.
Good luck and keep us posted! ❤️🙏
Nerve blockages were a lifesaver for me! But they only last for a couple of months on me but it works differently for everyone I had my OBGYN refer me
