I’ve been prescribed the cerazette pill to try to see if this eases my endo symptoms, wondering if anyone has any experience with this and if it was helpful for them or not? also somewhat worried about other potential side effects, as you might see with any pill you try.
No I had full hysterectomy due to my endometriosis with adenomyosis grade one ovarian cancer it’s been four years now I am doing okay just not motivated to be productive due to full on menopause I will be 47 on the 22 of this month my body isn’t ready to workout ugh 😩
Hugs to your mental health. That Endo side hustle is a real pisser & I'd rather have cramps than feel crazy. Do whatever & as much as you can to take care of yourself. I hope you are feeling settled in your new job now & that you continue to notice improvements🐦🔥
thank u loads for sharing and for the advice! 🫶🏻 I’ve basically reached the 2 month period on the pill now and actually do think within the past couple weeks I’ve started to notice the difference in terms of the pelvic/general flare up pain I was having. Seems to have reduced quite a bit thankfully!
The initial side effects were quite dramatic, my skin was terrible and had incredibly bad nausea and sickness as well as dizziness and migraines. My mental health has also been pretty terrible (but also a lil difficult for me to tell whether that’s due to this, or life changes with me trying out a new career role which has been stressful). While not 100%, some of these do seem to be easing up at least a little, so I’m hoping it’s just a case of getting through the first few months and eventually my body will just adjust 🙂
I feel like I need to start adhering to a more anti inflammatory diet as you’ve said, that’s probably one of my weaker areas but hopefully if I can start that it might help aid with the severity of cramps when they do happen!
My current doctor has me on the mini pill (norethindrone) & I am very happy with improved quality of life. Having not heard of Cerazette previously, I did web search to check in out.
They have the same goal of stopping menses with different methods. I still ovulate & have had a couple cysts but no bloody menses; I still get my 'period' being that I cycle with some bloating & cramps but don't experience the bogus dysmenorrhea as before.
I adhere to the anti-inflammatory diet w/occasional slips* & don't get the severe, debilitating Endo cramps as I did before taking mini pill. *I will get reprimanded w/a fierce flare if I indulge in too many verbotens within a cycle.
It might be worth a try but know that it'll take a few months for your body to adjust before you experience results.
Has anyone had success with Cerazette for managing endometriosis symptoms?
While the search results don't specifically mention Cerazette by name, they do discuss hormonal treatments and birth control pills for endometriosis management. Many MyEndometriosisTeam members have shared mixed experiences with hormonal treatments.
