I've been reading a lot of posts about going gluten free and would like to give it a shot, but don't know what stores have the best variety of gluten free items. What specific things do I have to look for when finding gluten free foods?

I don't typically have a lot of pain, but deal with feeling bloated for hours after I eat, even if it's just a grilled chicken breast with some white rice. It honestly doesn't matter what I eat!! My boyfriend thought if I cut out gluten it might help. Although I don't feel as though I eat a lot of gluten products anyway.

Hi, I have one suggestion with the Gluten free course of action. (I am a baker that bakes with Gluten free options as well because my boss is Celiac). Remember that GF products contain WAY more sugar than regular wheat products. So, wheat free may be good, but GF isn't always the best alternative. I've been having some success with Organic Spelt flour and Rye flours, but I have almost cut out grains. Of course, if you're not having tooooo much pain one day...then try the Udi brand of stuff that may be available at your local grocer. (might only be Canada...) Good luck! P.S. I have been eating potato pancakes as a substitute for toast in the mornings...delicious!

I live in Florida now and haven't set up care with a doctor down here. I guess I'm putting it off bc I feel like no one is going to help me any way, and my pain is tolerable. Plus, until there is a Viagra pill for women, a doctor is going to do me no good!!
I'm just wondering if I would feel better going gluten free! I'm just super picky! I wish there was a store that was all gluten free so you could choose whatever you wanted! They don't have Krogers here.

I don't know where you like but a lot of places are selling more gluten free items. I live in Michigan so Meijer and Kroger has a decent selection. I would recommend going on Pinterest. It usually provides lists of foods that are gluten free. Is your doctor recommending you to go gluten free?
