And if yes how did you know you had it? I heard that if you have endo you are less likely to have it. But ive had a really swollen left ovary for a few weeks and the pain makes me feel sick. I cant bend and its starting to affect me more. The doctors just said have painkillers and use heat but i feel like they are missing something. It feels like im being stabbed in my ovary. The right one is ok. Its gotten worse over a few weeks and i have no clue what to do because even my local hospital wont… read more

I had surgery a month ago for ovarian torsion that caused my left ovary to swell to almost the same size as my uterus (it was the size of a baseball) and I honestly only felt pain on my right ovary and was unaware of it until they had to do emergency surgery for a ruptured cyst that caused the torsion and internal bleeding but the biggest concern was the ovary had very little blood flow to it and if left untreated the tissue could have died and caused me to lose the ovary, do you know if they have checked the blood flow? have they performed an ultrasound? its very noticeable on U/S if its torsion because it will also show the reduced blood flow. even though my ovary was swollen that much, I still never had pain on my left side...just on the right and the right ovary was normal. Have they done a CT scan?

Thank you for replying. Sorry i havent had chance to come on much. Oh dear that sounds nasty. I hope you are ok now. Glad it got sorted for you. Ive just recently had the ct scan and it showed that i have colitis as well as the endo. I have more tests in the morning to have which will hopefully give us some more answers. I have no energy and am constantly in pain and its not good when i have work. I hope you are feeling loads better now xx
