For stage 4 advanced endometriosis, would you recommend a hysterectomy? I do not want children by birth, and have had endo for over 5 years, consistently suffering.
Also it depends on how old you are and if your endometriosis going affect your future plans for a family then do have hysterectomy
Hey Guys, I may be having a hysterectomy in a few to a couple weeks and I don’t know what to expect after the surgery. Can someone please tell me what to expect after surgery and has it helped getting rid of endometriosis pain and symptoms???? Should I have a total hysterectomy or a partial hysterectomy to get rid of endo pain and symptoms???
The first thing to clear up is what you mean by full or partial hysterectomy. Sadly, the terms are not always clarified by our doctors. I like this link because it gives the medical definition of… read more
I'm 32, so I'm on a transdermal estradiol patch. I think it could've caused the recurrence, but I have to be on hormones because of my age. I am 31 suffering endometriosis for awhile. I am so sick of the pain that I go through every day. My boyfriend doesn't even understand at all how I feel which makes it even harder. I was thinking about talking to my endo specialist about moving with a partial hysterectomy. Is it a good idea to take that next step?
I think it’s completely down to you and whether you want children or not. I got told at my last surgery that if I wanted them I need to do it now. I’ve always been someone who’s dreamed of having… read more
For anyone that’s had PCOS and severe endometriosis that’s had a hysterectomy how old were you when you had a hysterectomy??
Hey there! 💛 I didn’t have pcos, but I had my hysterectomy for my endo at 25 - kept my ovaries, though. Best of luck! 💛
Thank god your procedure went well. Amen 🙏
