Can you have stage 4 endometriosis without any endometriomas showing up on the ultrasound?
Sadly, It is difficult to pick up endo on ultrasound unless the physician is REALLY skilled and knows what to look for.
My gynecologist told me that she is certain I have endometriosis as well as pcos, with all my symptoms fitting them perfectly. But she also informed me that it would require surgery to confirm it so that I can get the treatment needed. I can't answer why but I agree that it is ridiculous and unfair. I had the discovery surgery just to get told "yes you have it" and had to have the excision surgery 3 weeks later. Such a waste.

So I have a consult this Thursday for a laparoscopy the surgeon is not an endo expert surgeon but he is a gyno/MD/FACOG
He isn’t my first pick but my first pick who is an endo master surgeon can’t get me in just for a consult till October 19th. I don’t think I can’t wait that long with the constant pain I’m experiencing, if he offers surgery should I do it or wait for the best in my area???
Please help I need any advice, info, opinions?
A few years ago, my doctor asked if i knew what endo was. At the time it was new to me, now I know a little more. The doctors I have gone to have said it is highly likely with my symptoms and everything that I have endo. We did ultrasounds to check for cysts. My question is what is the best plan of action next? Do I keep prying for answers? Or is it just IBS? Thanks!
Laparoscopy will give you the answer you need.

After reading a lot of people’s stories on here, I’m starting to doubt getting the surgery from seeing so many women having more problems after surgery than before. I really want to be able to have a baby and I do have “simple” and “complex” ovarian cyst that go up and down in size also they said I have “endometriomas” on my ovaries through MRI at my first hospital stay last November. Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead.
