Hi all -- has anyone used Mirena as a first option to try and quell endometriosis flare-ups? Curious about side effects, how well it works, etc. Thanks, in advance, for any information you can provide!

Do any of you have issues with random unexplained bruises appearing all over your body when your endo acts up?? I have them all over my arms, hands, legs, tummy and pelvic areas. Just want to know if I should be concerned or not!

I'm 33 and recently diagnosed stage 4 . I have 10 year old twins and am trying to add to the family. Has anyone here gotten pregnant naturally with severe endometriosis and how long did it take? Tips and hopeful words welcome!

Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead. My mother told me she also had endometriosis when she was few years older than me and even with endometrioma in one ovarian, she could get pregnant and give birth to my sister.. I have been prescribed both in the past and haven't used either as I was concerned about the side effects, especially with Aspen-Diegnogest/Visanne but my flow is out of control and I have endo in many places included bladder and rectum so that makes it worse. I have only used Naproxen for years for the pain but I have been beyond "managing" for a long time now, especially with the flow and I have also learned/realized that this treatment plan does not actually "treat" endo which… read more

So, I am 8 weeKS post op from my surgery to have surgical resection of endometriosis. And this surgery was for endo that returned 15 mths POST supracervical hysterectomy. I had severe endo all over again. They removed my cervical stump and all the endo. Prior to surgery my estrogen level was a 70 which some docs say is good for menopause. Some docs don't. After going to an MRI my doctor confirmed the presence of a chocolate cyst around 5.5cm (left ovary) and one of 2cm (right ovary). He decided to give me the combined pills (Levonorgestrel/ethinylestradiol; 0.10mg/0.02mg) and he said to me that I should come back in a month to see if the cyst shrank or not, if not then he would recommend a surgery for removing only the big cyst.
