Hi Everyone!
I just stumbled upon this site and I’m so glad I did! I’m 33 years old and was diagnosed with endo when I was 18. I had a laparoscopy shortly after diagnosis. Since having my second child last year and having had now two csections my endo pain is awful and my periods are hell. My OB has given me the option to try the Mirena or Visanne but I honestly have no idea what to try. I’m hesitant to do either but I need some relief. Hey boo,I was diagnosed with endo in stomach and the diaphragm, bowels and uterus
I havent been diagnosed with endo but i think i may have it. I get not like pains but more just the feeling that somethings there and when i cough whilst sitting up i get a shock of pain under my stomach. My mum was diagnoses with endometriosis and she recently got a hysterectomy so i was wondering if there is any chance i could have it? Im scared to go to check it out as the thought of someone just looking down there scares me for no apparent reason you know?
don't think so my mother sister all aunts on both sides have children and normal on the other hand i am the only one with big chocolate cysts and kissing ovaries but i don't wish it on my worst enemy
What were your symptoms and how you were diagnosed MRI or CT scan?
We only had TVS and i have both. The bloating is terrible
I've had my symptoms for nine ish years and was only just diagnosed in September, before that I'd been diagnosed with PCOS and docs said that explained my pain etc. I have quite textbook symptoms and responded really well to dienogest in terms of pain relief and less bleeding but had horrible side effects so went off it.
Thanks Kerry! I will be doing one in July when I go back home for the summer I think
