Hi, I live in Boston and recently got a clinical diagnosis of endometriosis. I have a surgical consult with Dr. Kapetanakis on 03/30. Honestly, this journey has been so difficult, painful and ostracizing. I would personally love to support others going through similar hardships and would love to speak with others able to understand what I'm going through. We can decide on if virtual meetings are best versus in person, or even have a messaging thread where we can discuss updates, ask for support… read more
Thank you so much for sharing! Wishing you a speedy recovery 💕
what sort of BCP suits you best?
Hello Ladies
I am currently a stage 4 endo sufferer who has had more than her share of surgeries (including partial hysterectomy, appendectomy, ovary removal, etc. all for endo). My current situation is I am not on meds since we have not been able to find one best for my situation. My left ovary has a 3.5 cm endometrioma we are monitoring. Luckily it is growing slowly. The thought is if we can hold on to the ovary then I can limp my way through to menopause in another 5-8 years without using… read more
This is where my thought process is...I am 47 and wondering what can I do to bridge the gap to menopause....I started visanne in September....and I haven't had a period since..which I don't like… read more
I have been experiencing a lot of shoulder blade pain the last few years...I have not injured myself but if flares up like a burning sensation usually around ovulation and period time. I have recently been diagnosed with Endo - after going back and forth to dr with symptoms for about 10 years now - no lap done so they are just assuming I have it and all my symptoms point to that....I started visanne in September and symptoms have subsided somewhat but a lot of side effects came along with… read more
yes, after taking vissane for 4months, I exactly have the same symptoms that you are experiencing. I wonder it may be because of the vissane effects on bone density. I wish I could resolve it somehow
BuckeyeGirl did they ever end finding it? I have gone for approximately 4 scans after the first and still nothing 😔
Anyone else use Visanne?
I've been on Visanne for 8 months and it made my life so much better. I had spotting for about 2 months, then it all stopped. Had one break through a month ago, but with minimal pain. Endo is on my… read more
I am currently on Visanne and have been for three years. My new family doctor recently told me that there has only been studies of people on Visanne for a period of about 2 years. It can apparently cause osteoporosis, and that has me a little freaked out. However, this is the only thing that has helped me at all. I have never had a lap or anything like that done. For years i was told it was all in my head. My pain is on my right side around my abdominal area. It took around 7 years for a gyno to… read more
Hi I've been wondering the exact same thing! does it cause osteoporosis? cause I've been feeling very weak and my gyno did not recommend any calcium or vitamins I should be taking!
Has anyone experimented with all natural remedies or essential oils and successfully lowered their pain levels?
Endovan. It is a little expensive, but helps me.
Thank you guys so much.
I just got diagnosed with this along with PCOS in March of 2017, I got put on birth control pills to control the pain & stop my periods so the cysts can dry out because they were growing too big. I’m too young for any surgery messing with my female parts at 19 apparently. They are currently watching my endometriosis now because it is growing rapidly. My grandmother had endo cancer at 20 & luckily it was an easy removal but they think I’m close to getting it because it skipped my mom so every… read more
