Sex Life And Physical Relationship
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I can count on one hand the times that me and my boyfriend have had sex in the last year- sad I know
I just had excision surgery back in May and of course I'm terrified of getting back on the horse... seemed like an appropriate analogy. We have tried once since my surgery after waiting long enough and it still hurt but at the time I wasn't on any type of birth control so we had to use a condom and my fun parts have never agreed with most types. I'm thinking that was the main problem (more like… read more

Why Would A Pelvic Mass Found During A Bimanual Exam Not Be Found On An Ultrasound And CT?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My gynecologist told me that she felt a pelvic mass on a bimanual exam that suggested to her that I might have an endometrioma or more on the other side of my vaginal cuff. She also noted a polyp on the vaginal side of the cuff that might be endometriosis. Why would a transvaginal ultrasound and a CT scan find absolutely nothing, when I was in so much pain that I needed hydromorphone in the ER to control it?

Period Or... Something Else???
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey guys, so my fiancé and I had sex the night before last and ever since yesterday morning I've been getting this light red/brown scanty discharge off and on with super bad pelvic pain, cramping. Yesterday I thought it was because we were maybe a bit too rough the night before but now I still have it today. I just had my period two weeks ago today and the last day of it was a week ago today. But I have also missed my pill once or twice for being in the hospital and not having my b/c with me. So… read more

Hello Everyone,
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Recently, I noticed that i feel pain when using tampons.
I had been using them for over 15 years now, and never had any issues.
I feel pain especially after taking them out.
Tried to use organic ones, thinner ones and be more gentle when taking it out. The pain is there.
I do not have endo adhesions in my vagina, but have them in the back of my uterus.
Did you ever have these problems?
All the best,
Monica

Ripping Pain And Discharge...are These "normal"?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had endometriosis symptoms since I was 15. In February, I had a laparoscopy that confirmed endometriosis growths. Things were good for a while; I went on Lupron (which was completely awful), but symptoms seemed to get better. Now I am off of Lupron and back on continuous birth control, and my symptoms are back.

I guess I'd like to know if what I experience is common...along with very painful intercourse, pelvic and abdominal pain, I also occasionally have a very sharp pain up my… read more

Pain When Aroused?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Before sex, when I'm beginning to get aroused, I get pain in the left side of my stomach, my vagina and also my bum (sorry for tmi). I've had the problem for a while but the pain feels more intense then it used to. Its at the stage where I really am not interested in having sex, because there's pain before, during, and then pain after. Does anyone else get this too? And does anyone know why this happens?
