Hi Everyone!
I just stumbled upon this site and I’m so glad I did! I’m 33 years old and was diagnosed with endo when I was 18. I had a laparoscopy shortly after diagnosis. Since having my second child last year and having had now two csections my endo pain is awful and my periods are hell. My OB has given me the option to try the Mirena or Visanne but I honestly have no idea what to try. I’m hesitant to do either but I need some relief. Can anyone who has tried one or both of these give me some… read more
I just got off my course of Visanne. It was quite effective. I was on it for a year. After my first 2 months of being on it, my period stopped and came back a month after I stopped the meds. Which… read more
My current health care provider is Kaiser, and they have not been helpful at all in dealing with endo. I have yet to find a patient, knowledgable, or compassionate doctor that seems to have any solutions besides throwing birth control at me that don't work or cause me to bleed for weeks on end. It has been very frustrating and depressing this past year and I am looking to switch to another health care provider to find a OBGYN that is more knowledgable on this disease that I have battled for many… read more

I am scheduled to have a laparoscopy on the 14th of April. I’ve never had one done. What should I expect? ( pre-op, healing time, recovery complications you’ve had, questions I should ask etc. ) I’m trying not to just research everything and scare myself because I know that’s what I’ll do!
Hi! Laparoscopy, in my opinion (which I've had 3 between 2 obgyns) is the same rest you would get after having a baby. After the surgery, my throat was a lil sore from the tube to monitor my… read more

Is that Lupron that makes your body believe that you and perimenopause is that that has so many things done that I have no idea at this point. I’m just going back in time.
how did the lupron work for you?? I have bipolar & anxiety. Worried about how it'll effect those.
If u dont like it, then tell your dr and dont do anymore injections. Since it is a shot, it does stay in your system longer than pills
What should i do for the lump under the skin next to my belly button scar
I have something similar. I have a lump right above my belly button that gets soooo tender and swells a few days after my period starts (I suspect it gets tender and swells due to the rise of… read more
Thank you x
I tried 3 IUDs and my body rejected all 3; then tried Norethrindrone and I hated it . My weight changed for the worse and it effected my mood. So I stopped . My doc told me about a newer pill called Slynd . Wondering if anyone else has had experience with this ?
You're most welcome. Incidentally, I'm not sure where you are in your endo journey. Birth control can help, but really they just mask symptoms. It's important that your doctor tell you that it doesn't… read more

Yes I was talking a low estrogen pill orally, it made everything so much worse than it would have been if I was just using my progesterone implant. The implant wasn’t controlling my bleeding so we… read more
