Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead. I feel abit of a hypochondriac because I'm in the middle of being diagnosed and just want people around me to realise what I'm going through isn't in my head. I've hid it for abit because I was quite and embarrassed by some of the symptoms. How long were you on meds before your doctor decided to do a laparoscopy? My gyn wants to put me on orlissa or bc for 6months to a year before doing a laparoscopy? Do you find that to be typical?

My gynecologist told me that she felt a pelvic mass on a bimanual exam that suggested to her that I might have an endometrioma or more on the other side of my vaginal cuff. She also noted a polyp on the vaginal side of the cuff that might be endometriosis. Why would a transvaginal ultrasound and a CT scan find absolutely nothing, when I was in so much pain that I needed hydromorphone in the ER to control it?

I was thinking that a quick ten minute talk is enough for now. I will cover the basics of the disease as well. She is only five years old so I do not wish to overwhelm her however. Thanks in advance. Advice and tips will also be appreciated too. This will pave the way for further conversations.

Is it a good idea to use pictures or not?

My gynecologist told me that she is certain I have endometriosis as well as pcos, with all my symptoms fitting them perfectly. After reading a lot of people’s stories on here, I’m starting to doubt getting the surgery from seeing so many women having more problems after surgery than before. I really want to be able to have a baby and I do have “simple” and “complex” ovarian cyst that go up and down in size also they said I have “endometriomas” on my ovaries through MRI at my first hospital stay last November.
