Siactic Symptoms
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have really bad siatic symptoms with endo flares? They were pushing on my ovaries today during vaginal ultrasound the pain was in my right hip/buttocks all the way down my leg. Like pain that made me sick. Then my stomach got really up set like right before having diarreah.

Sciatica?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey guys I've been having bad off and on lower back and hip pain that's progressed (along with these lovely endo symptoms, since surgery in July) over the past 6+ months. I've seen some stuff about sciatica and have heard about it, but I'm 23. Could this be sciatica or just play lower back/hip(s) pain due to the endo???

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

Does Anyone Have Sciatic Pain Caused By Their Endo? Is There Really Such Thing As Sciatic Endometriosis?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I read on the center for endometriosis website that there is such thing as "sciatic endometriosis", where the endo lesions adhere to the sciatic nerve. What do you guys think? Does anyone have sciatic nerve pain caused by their endo? I've been having a lot of pain shooting down my left leg. Thanks!

Leg Pain With Endo?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else suffer from leg pain? Along with my hips and lower back, my knees and calves will ache and throb. I sometimes feel a shooting pain going down from my groin to my inner thigh. I had behind-the-knee swelling in my right leg and had to go to the ER for DVT scans, because at the time I was on birth control (2 scans were negative). I saw an orthopedic and had an X-Ray and MRI - both showed no sign of injury. Not sure if it could be ends-related. I've tried icing and Tylenol and… read more

Getting Enough Sleep
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I used to sleep great, but when I start getting endo pain I have a hard time staying asleep. If the tiniest thing wakes me up, that's it, I'm awake. If I take something before bed it wears off before it can help. And I don't always have an opportunity for a nap later in my day. Has anyone found a way to get restful, restorative sleep? Only getting 6 hours of sleep a night almost every night is really wearing me down.

When I get a flareup, I get about four hours asleep, so I usually take an edible and I sleep all night

Exercise Help Symptoms
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was curious if anyone else has ever noticed exercise helps symptoms? I was doing CrossFit regularly and I noticed my cramping, spot bleeding, pms symptoms subside. I noticed when I am heavily stressed they come full force. But doing intense exercise did the reverse.

I read in an article that doing core work is a no no due to pulling in the stomach and risking spreading the adhesions to the other side of the stomach ? It sounds logical doesnt it?

Did You Know The Surgeon You Choose To Remove Your Endo Matters?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Endo needs to be removed deep and wide by the excision technique. Not every OBGYN knows how. When it's done correctly the Endo has a very small chance of returning. Call one of these Surgeons and take care of yourself. If it's not possible to see one of these surgeons, still call and they can recommend a quality surgeon near you , who can give you good care.
