Hi all.
I'm hoping it's okay for me to be here - I do not yet have a diagnosis of endometriosis, but strongly suspect that I have it. I have a diagnosis of crohn's disease that was given 16 years ago, and have long been told I have IBS in addition to that. It's only actually relatively recently that I heard what endo is, and looking into things, I grew concerned that my digestive issues may actually be bowel endometriosis masquerading as IBD and IBS.
I have a lot of the common symptoms of… read more
Hi Mattie,
Thank you for your reply! Patient Choice sounds very interesting! My GP did tell me that I would be getting a letter for the choose and book service to book my appointment, which I think… read more
This is my second time trying this pill and the idea is to skip the sugar pill twice them have peroid as a way of "controlling" the development of more endo- however I don't stop bleeding! I've had internal and external ultrasounds again to rule out anything else, but it's the second time is happened on the pill. Has any one else experienced anything like it? 😣
I was on Seasonique, (supposed to only have 4 periods a year) and had the worst period of my life. My period started six-weeks into my first 3-month pack. It lasted 21 days, and I had a huge tissue… read more
Hi. I’ve recently been diagnosed with endometriosis. I still don’t know where it is or how bad it is. I went to hospital a week ago due to heavy bleeding, blood clots and pain and that’s when I was diagnosed. I was given pain meds (perks) and meds for the bleeding. It slowed down for 48 hours. Now it’s been back and is very bad again and the pain is soo much worse. I could take two perks and still feel like I’m dying. My question is should I go to the hospital? Or ride it out as it’s become the… read more
It is sad that we have to "ride it out", I do that as in hospital they can't do anything. Besides yoi might be wating for hours to be seen by the doctor. Normally I would take a cocktail of… read more
Ok so I'm asking this question because my Mom is curious. How many of you were on long term birth control before you started having issues trying to conceive?
My Mom is convinced birth control (or something consumed in our generation) is causing infertility. We know birth control keeps Endo from growing quickly, so I'm not sure her theory applies with our disease. But I told her I would ask
I was diagnosed endometriosis at the age of 19 . Doctor advised to take birth control pills such as Ovaral tablet every day 1. I started using this birth control pill from 2021. Everyday i am… read more
So about 3months ago I got rushed into hospital with a big bleed, severe pain and cramp, drs tried to fob me off with constipation but I knew it wasn’t this, I’ve had bad periods for over 5 years now irregular bleeding, constant cramps etc also flipping tired!! And noone is listening to me! I was told on my discharge I would have a follow up and have heard nothing, where do I go from here? The last female dr said it sounds like endometriosis and said they would investigate but like I said… read more
I had a similar situation, heavy bleeding for over 4 months along with pain and similar symptoms to you and all docs keep blowing me off saying it was normal etc, got bloods done turned out I had… read more
They were all done by endo specialists, i have a good team. My endo just kept spreading and coming back after 6 months with some, over 1 year with others. Depends of my body.
I've recently doubled my HRT oestrogel due to menopause symptoms. I'm now on 4 pumps a day but still only 100mg of Utrogestan. I've contacted my doctor to ask if I can double the dose of Utrogestan and she doesn't know. I'm in UK so don't have access to a gynaecologist we have to go through our General Practitioner. Does anyone know if my best doubling the progesterone part of HRT also. I feel out of balance again and it's showing on my face my acne has really flared from affects of menopause

I'm not sure about this but you can ask to be referred to a gynecologist on the NHS and your GP should do it. You might have to persist and insist - it took me years to convince my GP to refer me to a… read more
I have had 2 surgeries done by 2 different gynaecologists but neither of them were endometriosis excision specialists. I'm still getting symptoms and I'm just concerned that I've wasted two surgeries on surgeons (not specialists) who may not have done the job well enough?
Had a full mot blood tests done last week & my B12 is extremely low have to have B12 injections on Monday 24/10/22
I found out as I was falling a lot of the time. Told the nurse she did a blood test and it came back as extremely low I did say I reckon it’s the endo she replied no I don’t think so my gynaecologist… read more
